The article examines how citizenship and civic identity are constructed in the Slovak media discourse in 2025, within the context of increasing societal polarization. It assumes that civic identity cannot be reduced solely to a legal status but represents a concept encompassing value-based, socio-cultural, and psychological dimensions. The article is based on thematic analysis, which makes it possible to identify recurring patterns of meaning in textual data and interpret them within a broader socio-political context.
